Residents of Oldfield can enjoy a full range of amenities, such as the 18-hole Greg Norman Golf Course and golf clubhouse, the Outfitters Center on the water, the elegant River Club for fine waterfront dining and gathering, the Sports Club and the Equestrian Center.
Noted for designing courses in concert with their natural environment Greg Norman created one of his finest golf courses at Oldfield by crafting an outstanding route through canopies of moss-draped live oaks, broad savannahs, and soaring pines up to the banks of the Okatie River. The par-72, 7,142 yard course boasts five sets of tees, and is as playable as it is beautiful.
The Sports Club at Oldfield offers a remarkable array of activities and programs. Home to a state-of-the-art gym and aerobics facilities, an indoor lap pool, an outdoor resort-style pool, four tennis courts, and bikes for rent, the Sports Club offers personal training, spin/aerobic classes, and nutrition clinics.
Oldfield’s Outfitter’s Center is home to some of the finest guides and naturalists around. From the Outfitter’s Center, they coordinate and conduct guided fishing excursions of all forms, from fly fishing for reds on the marsh flats, to catching tarpon and cobia in the Sound, to heading off shore for deep sea fishing. The Outfitter’s Center offers a private storage and launch service for your personal boat – giving all Oldfield residents full access and use of its most precious resource, the river.
Oldfield’s Equestrian Center features a modern 12 stall barn, one riding ring, a full course of jumps, a round pen, acres of grass paddocks and access to miles of trail riding.
The social activities calendar at Oldfield is filled with family events and opportunities to share common interests. Social clubs include the Oldfield Fishing & Outdoor Club, Men's Club and Oldfield Book Club. Property owners are required to become members of the Oldfield Club. Golf club membership is optional and several different levels of golf memberships are available.
While a deep respect for architectural heritage and nature’s treasures are elemental, it is the sporting lifestyle and the river that makes Oldfield wonderfully unique.
